We are organizing
an upcoming event on May 29/30 2010 in Pickering @ The Montessori Learning
Centre and another on June 5/6 in Whitby @ Inspirational Steps from 10 -
4:00 and would love to have your presence!
This will be carnival with vintage style games, vendors and performers and we
will be supporting The FAITH (Further Advancement In Tree Habitats) Project
which is an undertaking fronted by an 11 year old girl who has already raised
enough money to populate a water shed in Whitby and has received a generous
grant from both GM and The Girl Guides! We are ongoing supporters of this and
other such noble groups.
The Karavan Festival will offer a table/space for each performer free of charge
in hopes everyone considers this a self promotional opportunity meaning you will
generate your own revenue from the crowds.
This event will be advertised in the local papers (NewsAdvertiser & Metroland
publications -likely front page) within the first couple of weeks of May to
generate attention from the masses!
Please let us know if you would have some time on these weekends to help us out
and promote yourselves in the process! If interested, you will become part of
our network and therefore be advertised on our sites and the sites of everyone
in our network (like yourself). In turn, we request the same cross-marketing
offer. This is very advantageous in that most of the network consists
of companies with a similar audience.
Our Karavan site will be up within the week... if you have any questions please
don't hesitate to contact me!
Thank you,
David White

The time
has come again for the Justine Blainey Wellness Centre’s 4th
annual Children’s Health Festival. Our festival is taking place on Sunday
September 27th from 12:00pm-3pm and will be raising money for a
very worthy cause Child Find Ontario.
We are
looking for some one to face paint and possibly a balloon animal person to
help us out for 3 hours on Sept 27th. More information can be
found on our website on
www.blaineywellness.com. We are able to offer the option of helping you
to promote your business by including a flyer/information in our 500 loot
bags and if I am notified by Thursday (Sept 24th) we can also
include information on our ½ page ad in the Brampton Guardian.
Child Find
Ontario assists in locating missing children by education programs in
Ontario. They rely on the efforts of volunteers to help reunite these
children with their parents. Of the 66,548 cases of missing children
reported in 2005, Ontario has the highest proportion per capita at 22,503
missing children. They need our help.
Why this
event?
-
To raise awareness of
children’s health, wellness and safety in a fun and engaging approach.
-
Health issues:
Unhealthy eating habits, diabetes, sedentary lifestyles all contribute to
other health problems down the road.
-
Safety issues:
bullies, needles, environmental threats
-
Wellness issues:
stress, posture, sleep, studying effectively
-
Prevention is better than a cure!
By educating parents we can allow children of the future to grow up happy
and healthy.
-
To support community
programs of Child Find Ontario
-
Residual funds from
the event will go directly to Child Find
We hope
that you will be able to participate in our event to help promote the health
and safety of children! If you require additional information regarding the
festival, please feel free to contact me at any time.
Thank you!
Have a wonderful day!

Date June 8th 11am -2pm
- But would only need entertainment for one hour 11.30
-12.30. Location: Hidden Valley Park Burlington This event is a fundraiser
to raise money for The bereaved Families of Ontario, Hamilton/Burlington
an
organization that offers support services to parents and children after the
death of a child, parent or loved one. The event is a walk in remembrance
and a celebration of life which culminates with a butterfly release. Last
year we had over three hundred people attend, we released 200 individual
Monarch butterflies and raised over 30,000 dollars. We hope that this years
event will be just as, if not more successful as we are honored to have
Jamie West and Rebecca West (CHCH Television and 900 CHM) as our Honorary
Chair's for the day. Because of the high number of children we have
attending we are hoping for more children's entertainment, because we are a
fundraiser we hope to have most services donated. ?It would be wonderful to
have a magician to entertain the children between the walk and butterfly
release. If you have somebody that can help with this event in donating a
small amount of time on a Sunday morning, please let me know. Many thanks.

Kids Help Phone
is hosting the 7th Annual Bell Walk for Kids Help Phone in
Hamilton at McMaster University and
in St. Catharines at Jaycee
Gardens on Sunday, May 4th, 2008.
Last
year, in these two locations alone, over 450 walkers and their families helped
Canada’s only 24-hour, toll-free, confidential web and phone counseling service
for kids raise over $60,000 and this year we’re hoping for $70,000 to contribute
to our national goal of $3 million!
We
love for families to come out and walk together, so we offer children’s
entertainment throughout the event.
We
are looking for clowns, magicians, facepainters, balloon artists, or jugglers to
entertain our kids. There is no payment being offered, but this is a chance to
be a part of one of Canada’s largest fundraisers, and promote your services to

Meadowest Cooperative
Preschool is
located in the heart of Meadowvale. Situated in the Meadowvale Community
Centre, the pre-school provides children with a variety of play centres
which enhance their social, physical, emotional and intellectual skills in
a safe, secure and happy environment.
In our continued efforts
to provide our children with the best possible introduction to school, we
rely on fundraising events to supplement the overall operation of the
preschool.
On Saturday, October
28th, 2006, we are hosting our Annual Trike-a-Thon and Silent
Auction. At the trike-a-thon, students ride their favorite tricycle,
tractor, bike, etc… around a small track and collect sponsorship money for
doing their laps. The money raised from this event contributes to special
purchases for the school. This year, we are hoping to purchase badly
needed school supplies.
This will be a
carnival-themed atmosphere, and we are badly in need of a clown/face
painter from 10am - 1pm.
Unfortunately, being a
non-profit organization we have no budget for this type of thing, so in
other words, you wouldn't receive compensation - just the glory.

please contact Cheri @

Dear Clowns & Entertainers;
I
am a member of a group called the Crown Point Community Council, and we are
a small group of volunteer parents who for 5 years have run an Easter Egg
Hunt at St. Christopher's Park ( 119 McNulty Blvd.) in the east end of
Hamilton, near the Centre Mall for children between the ages of 0-12. We
are currently looking for some volunteer clowns, face painters, balloonists,
artists or any other entertainer that may be able to offer a couple of hours
of their time towards this events. We would love to have an Easter Bunny
who may show up for the kids as well or some Chickens or anything that may
be of special interest towards the children. Our Easter Egg Hunt will be on
Saturday April 15th from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and we currently have the
Community Health Care Bus, The Canadian Paraplegic Association and some
other organizations that have offered their time to us. We do not make any
money on this as it is strictly an event for the children and we do sell hot
dogs, drinks and bake goods to help with our costs. If there is anyone that
thinks they may be able to give us a few hours of their time it would be
greatly appreciated.

The Albion Community Association is holding
its 27th Annual Victoria Day festival from Friday May 19th until Monday
May 22nd. This great community festival attracts more than 20,000 people
on Sunday alone for our spectacular fireworks display, car show and
midway. This year we have decided to concentrate Sunday around kids &
family based activities. We have invited 6 local charities to organize
their own fundraising activities on that day and take advantage of the
crowd present waiving the standard booth fee's so that may profit from the
event. We the Albion Community Association are a not for profit group
consisting of only a handful of volunteers and would appreciate anything
that will help us draw more people to the event and help these great local
charities towards their goals. We can offer some prime spots for retail
for free in exchange for a performance on our children's stage or even a
walk around the crowd. Please contact me if you are interested in helping
us, I thank you in advance for your timely positive response.
